What Proof Do We Have for the Moon Landing?

Fifty years ago, humanity achieved the impossible: landing on the Moon! But even today, some people ask, ‘Did it really happen?’

One of the strongest proofs? We brought back nearly 400 kilograms of moon rocks! Scientists worldwide have studied them, confirming their unique lunar origin, unlike any Earth rock.

Apollo missions left special mirrors on the Moon called retroreflectors. We still bounce lasers off them today to measure the exact distance to the Moon, proving they’re really there.

What about those ‘waving flag’ photos or ‘no stars’ in the sky? The flag had a stiffening rod, and the bright lunar surface meant short exposures, hiding fainter stars. Shadows often look parallel due to perspective!

Independent observatories around the world tracked Apollo missions. Plus, high-resolution cameras, like those on NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, have photographed the landing sites, clearly showing the descent stages, footprints, and equipment left behind.

Thousands of dedicated scientists, engineers, and astronauts worked on these missions. Their testimonies, combined with overwhelming physical evidence, leave no doubt. Humanity went to the Moon!
